For the second consecutive year, the world’s leading chemical company – BASF – is co-hosting the 30th Design x Innovation CHINAPLAS 2016 event.

The event, which has been running for 30 years, showcases innovations that demonstrate the power of high-performance design, and is the largest plastics and rubber trade fair in Asia. Designers and manufacturers use the show as a vehicle for displaying new materials and product designs in mobility, sports and leisure, building, and living sectors. The focus of the occasion leans heavily upon plastic technologies and their applications, enabling product design, addressing changing consumer demands, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.

The show occurs between the 25th and 28th of April, at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China, and as well as a wide variety of exhibits, includes discussions with and lectures by industry experts.

This is the second time BASF has joined forces with the CHINAPLAS organisers as an exclusive partner, as a large, well-known company that produces chemicals, plastics, performance and crop-protection products, oil, and gas. BASF has earned industry respect by combining its huge success with strict policies regarding environmental protection and social responsibility, working to meet the current and future needs of society. Its Performance Materials Division achieved global sales of 6.5 billion Euros in 2014, and attendance at CHINAPLAS 2016 is bound to boost its reputation further.
