The rise in sales were driven by China, which saw a growth in industrial robot sales of 58% - installing 138,000 units.

Asia was accountable for a lot of robotics sales, with South Korea purchasing 40,0000 units and Japan acquiring 38,000 units.

The US became the largest single market for robotic sales at 33,000 units – a rise of 8% – whilst Germany saw a 6% increase reaching 22,000 units sold.
