Global manufacturer Misumi Group has deployed a cloud-based B2B platform to manage its sourcing, procurement and management of production materials.

The mechanical and electrical components company – based in Tokyo and with 18 manufacturing facilities around the world – is using OpenText’s system to manage both the volume of customers, partners and suppliers, as well as the very different B2B standards and procedures encountered around the world.

Misumi Group selected the platform to manage both its domestic operations and to grow its presence in global markets. By using the OpenText Trading Grid, Misumi Group has been able to focus on driving efficiencies and improvements across its business.

OpenText Trading Grid, part of the OpenText Cloud, is a B2B integration solution that offers technology for enterprises to connect to their business partners quickly, securely and efficiently. It is highly scalable and can manage the digital business network for an entire multi-national B2B ecosystem or handle a smaller subset of selected projects, regions, or trading partner relationships. It allows companies to exchange documents using EDI, XML, fax, and email to automate procure-to-pay business processes. The OpenText cloud processes over 16 billion transactions per year for more than 600,000 businesses around the world.
